Garage Door Technicians are responsible for installing and repairing garage doors and related components on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidates should have experience in garage door installation or service, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Install and replace garage doors and related components according to specifications and building codes.
- Make necessary repairs or replacements to service calls
- Collaborate with garage door manager, contractors, and homeowners to discuss project requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe ladder practices.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including proper disposal of debris and recycling materials.
- Complete work orders, record job details, and submit documentation of completed projects.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a garage door technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of garage door materials, tools, and equipment used in installation and repair work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Experience:
- Certification or training in garage door installation and service
- OSHA certification or similar safety training.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May require lifting heavy materials and working at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and customer needs.
- Work may require the ability to stand for long periods of time.
Drivers License:
