Advantage Dirt Contractors, Inc is seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction and excellent communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Conduct site visits and gather information required for estimating
- Analyze project costs and prepare detailed proposals
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing information and clarify project requirements
- Participate in project meetings to review and discuss cost estimates and proposals
- Work collaboratively with project managers and construction teams to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality standards
Requirements:
- Construction management or estimating, or related field experience is a plus. Civil Engineering is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, techniques, and standards
- Proficient in MS Office with a focus on Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Use of Bluebeam software and B2W Estimate software strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Critical thinking skills with ability to problem solve and make effective decisions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
