Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our chiropractic clinic, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of office management within a healthcare setting. Candidate will work closely with patients and perform chiropractic modalities on patients and take patient histories.
Person will be working 30 hours per week. Work days will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesdays the hire will be off unless a person is on vacation so there could be additional hours on a Tuesday but very infrequent.
Duties
- Assist in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Help with Work Comp and Personal Injury cases by reaching out to attorneys to keep up on patient files.
- Maintain accurate patient records. Also send records when requested by attorneys or insurances.
- Perform insurance verification and handle patient payments.
- Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and answering phones.
- Collaborate with the chiropractic team to facilitate/provide patient care and modalities like ultrasound, cold laser and electric muscle stimulation. Certified training is provided.
- Manage health information effectively to ensure the privacy and security of patient data.
- Assist with electronic health record systems such as Chirotouch for documentation and patient management.
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with any inquiries or concerns regarding their visits and/or patient balances.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a chiropractic assistant or in office management is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to comply with HIPAA regulations and medical collection processes is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes is a plus but can be taught on the job.
