Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely while applying cleaning solutions for sanitation and stain removal, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
- Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal operation of the space.
- Use custodial tools and cleaning equipment efficiently to uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all areas.
- Follow safety procedures during chemical handling and manual handling activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to requests or concerns from staff or visitors regarding cleanliness or facility needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning processes.
- Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while practicing proper manual handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and facility maintenance.
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
