What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Control Driver / TCS (ABR) position at Advantage Barricade & Roadmarks?
POSITION SUMMARY
As a TCS this role will work in Manager and team to support ABR’s core values. Reviews, comprehends, and executes temporary traffic control plans and/or standards to ensure work zones are properly installed and maintained. Coordinates and communicates with customers to ensure the safety of all workers. Coordinates team members and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, maintain, and remove Advance Warning Signs, Channelizing Devices, and other traffic control devices according to Federal, State, and/or Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and Temporary Traffic Control Plans for simple, intermediate complexity, and complex work zones
- Follow all company safety procedures and practices. Notifying their Supervisor of any potential safety issues or incidents
- Provides on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to Protectors
- Achieve organizational required training within the time frame established by Safety Coordinator and Operations Manager
- Coordinate, manage, and set all traffic control plans
- Effective communication with team members and customers
- Standardize their trucks at the end of their shift for next morning's work.
- The expectation is to be on time for all jobs, set up jobs per plan then 10/8 to dispatch before leaving the work site
- Mandatory truck report before leaving the yard and to check any A/B’S or VMB’S are in working order before taking them in the field
- Always check with TCR for jobs and load all appropriate equipment for morning jobs any questions they are to call dispatch
- Required to make any field adjustments when necessary and notify dispatch of any changes to the plan.
- All jobs are to be set up at a minimum to MUTCD and required to meet city specs.
- Must obey all traffic laws and be courteous at all times.
- Wear PPE’S always, this includes wearing their seatbelts as well.
- Expected to keep trucks and truck beds clean and organized.
- Required to fill out daily all paperwork and turn it in at the end of their shift daily.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- No Experience Needed
- ATTSA Certified is a plus
- Traffic Control Supervisor a plus
- Detail Oriented
- Self-Motivated, dependable, and honest
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation
- Comfortable standing 8-12 hours and lifting 40-60lbs.
- Comfortable working around a high volume of fast-moving traffic.
- Year-round work
- This is an outdoor position, and you will work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to multitask and have a heightened awareness of your surroundings.
