What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Welder 1 position at Advanta Southeast?
Overview
This position will be responsible for production line MIG welding. Welders fabricate and assemble metal structures through the use of weld machines, equipment, and measuring tools. The incumbent will produce products according to customer or employer specifications. The incumbent will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment for optimal performance and safety. The incumbent must maintain a good working relationship with fellow workers.
The incumbent is accountable to maintain a level of work performance in accordance with Advanta’s standards. This position is responsible to have and maintain the ability to accomplish a task while holding the ability to notice inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility. This role will maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
The incumbent must follow all safety standards and comply with all security regulations. The incumbent must safely operate equipment at all times and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain a basic knowledge of company products, services, policies and procedures.
2. Exemplify company safety standards by practicing safe work habits, participating in safety meetings, and reporting unsafe working conditions.
3. Operate and/or use related equipment and tools: which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), cutting torches, various hand tools, drills, and punches.
4. Maintain clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and general housekeeping duties.
5. Perform other related duties within job scope as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Experience:
· Welding experience
· Experience using hand and power tools, required.
· Experience operating mobile equipment, preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
· Must be able to pass Advanta’s weld test.
· Welding Certificate, a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
