Duties
- Manage and oversee divorce cases from initial consultation through resolution, including negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
- Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, agreements, pleadings, and settlement proposals with precision and clarity
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws
- Advocate effectively in court for clients involved in family law disputes, including child custody, alimony, and property division
- Negotiate settlements that align with clients' best interests while maintaining professionalism and transparency
- Collaborate with other legal professionals on cases involving estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant issues, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, environmental law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, litigation matters, and more
- Maintain detailed case records and ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of family law procedures combined with expertise in estate planning, immigration law, environmental law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate amicable settlements while protecting client interests
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for comprehensive case analysis
- Excellent legal drafting and writing skills to produce clear and persuasive documents
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with legal administrative processes including case management systems and documentation protocols
