Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Engagement Specialist for Community Culture for Virginia (CC4VA), 501 (c) 3 community non-profit organization to foster meaningful connections within our community and promote our organization’s mission. This role involves developing and implementing outreach initiatives, managing volunteer programs, and building strong relationships with diverse community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and experience in program development to effectively engage and serve our community members. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase awareness and participation in programs
- Manage volunteer recruitment, training, supervision, and retention efforts
- Organize and lead community events, workshops, and public speaking engagements to promote organizational initiatives
- Collaborate with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to build partnerships
- Oversee program development tailored to community needs, including health education or addiction counseling initiatives
- Conduct data collection and analysis to evaluate program effectiveness and inform future planning
- Manage social media platforms and marketing campaigns to enhance visibility and engagement
- Coordinate fundraising activities and grant applications to support community programs
- Provide administrative support related to project management, scheduling, reporting, and documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams, or program development
- Strong public speaking abilities with experience in community presentations or workshops
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Proficiency in marketing strategies, social media management, and data collection tools
- Background in addiction counseling, public health, social work, or related fields is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in recruiting or team supervision
- Effective communication skills for engaging diverse populations through teaching or outreach efforts
- Organizational skills with attention to detail for managing administrative tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Compensation:
- Monday - Friday (10 am - 6:30 pm) - in office, and Saturday (9:00 am - 5:30pm) - work from home, Compensation $20.00 per hour, Full-Time benefits included.
- Monday - Friday (10 am - 6:30 pm) - in office, $16.00 per hour, Full-Time benefits included.
- Community Engagement Driver - Will utilize the CC4VA organization vehicle for Daily community engagement, Monday - Friday (10 am - 6:30pm) - in office, $13.50 per hour, Full-Time benefits included
- Must have an ACTIVE Virginia Driver's License
- Must have a DMV Driver's Record in Excellent Standing
- Proof of at minimum Liability Driver's Insurance
