Position Title: Supervisor

Shift 1 6:00 - 2:30
Shift 2 9:30 - 6:00
**This position is contingent upon contract award**
Position Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for providing onsite supervision, daily leadership, and assistance to their Team Leads and designated staff in all aspects of day-to-day production operations within a large-scale records management/warehouse environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and enforce work methods and priorities accomplished by their designated subordinate support staff
Directly handle problems and communicate changes in work processes for their designated support staff to the Site Manager in accordance with established instructions, policies, and precedents
Guide their designated support staff to meet or exceed production objectives and cycle times
Run queries/reports to ensure appropriate workflow and to meet desired response times for their designated support staff
Address and remediate poor performance and disciplinary issues for their designated support staff in coordination with the Site Manager
Report directly to the Site Manager
Other general warehouse labor, records management, or administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of work experience plus BA or 7 years of work experience
Flexibility to work eight (8) hours a day covering at least two (2) shifts (including the night shift, periodically) with different start times on different days throughout the week
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, inspire, and delegate
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with subordinate staff and government personnel
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, sequencing, and knowledge of weights and measurements
Ability to proficiently use modern software applications
Ability to communicate and work in a team environment
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain accuracy of less than one percent error rate for data and/or file operations
Strong attention to detail
Read, write, and communicate using the English language at a level sufficient to perform job functions
Valid State Driver’s License
Ability to meet the security requirements for obtaining a badge (i.e., National Agency Checks with Inquiries)
Ability to pass a drug screen and employment background check
Ability to pass a fit-for-duty test
Ability to perform in a labor-intensive environment (see physical demands below)
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher
1 years of supervisory experience (10 subordinates)
NARA records management training
Experience operating a pallet jack, order picker, counterbalance, and/or reach and turret truck
Working Schedule:
Facility hours 6:00am - 6:00pm
Shift 1 6:00 - 2:30
Shift 2 9:30 - 6:00
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normally subjected to inside (warehouse) environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Adherence to OSHA guidelines is mandatory, and as such, donning of protective equipment/gear may be required.
Physical Demands (including but not limited to):
Ability to physically lift boxes which typically weigh 30-50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to carry boxes between 30-50 pounds for distances up to a quarter of a mile within a facility. Ability to safely climb and balance on ladders to obtain boxes which can weigh 30-50 pounds, from shelving up to 15 feet high. Ability to climb caster equipped ladders and maneuver on catwalks while handling boxes of records, typically weighing 30-50 pounds, which are stored up to 15 feet above the floor, regularly. Performance of work regularly requires walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and squatting to reach boxes. Position requires working long hours on one’s feet and walking several miles per day is routine. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with corrections if necessary.
