Duties
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of fire sprinkler system service, including installation, maintenance, testing, and repairs.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Supervise field technicians performing construction inspection, system fitting, and troubleshooting activities.
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for system layout planning and modifications.
- Conduct inspections to verify compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), local fire codes, and industry standards.
- Manage service schedules, prioritize work orders, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for system installation and servicing.
- Collaborate with clients on alarm system sales and fire alarm sales opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, schematics updates, and system modifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols related to low voltage electrical systems, sensors, electrical experience requirements, and fire alarm systems.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on technical skills such as blueprint reading, system design, and construction inspection.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting or related field service roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Demonstrated ability in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system design using CAD software.
- Knowledge of construction inspection processes specific to fire suppression systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, sensors, low voltage electrical systems, and alarm systems sales is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with NEC guidelines and electrical codes relevant to fire sprinkler systems is essential.
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and integration with sprinkler networks.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing service technicians or field teams in a construction or service environment.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions and team coordination.
