We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our dynamic safety and compliance team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems, including piping, valves, heads, and control equipment, ensuring all components function correctly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and construction drawings to verify installation accuracy and compliance.
- Test system components such as sensors, alarms, low voltage wiring, and fire alarm connections to confirm proper operation.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, and other field service equipment to perform installation checks and repairs.
- Document inspection results meticulously, prepare detailed reports on system status, deficiencies, and recommended repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or modifications to ensure adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code), fire safety standards, and schematics.
- Provide expert advice on fire sprinkler fitting, system design improvements, and maintenance best practices to clients and team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting or construction inspection with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and system design documents accurately.
- Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing or modifying system layouts is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, electrical systems, and power tools.
- Knowledge of relevant codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and ability to inspect installations against plans and specifications.
