Civil 3D Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Designer with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D to join the team. This role will support the design and development of site layouts, foundations, storm water systems, and infrastructure improvements for our metal recycling facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong civil design background, hands-on experience with industrial projects, and the ability to deliver high-quality, accurate design packages that meet both operational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce detailed civil engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Design site layouts, grading plans, storm water management systems, and foundations for industrial and recycling facilities.
• Prepare construction drawings, details, and specifications to support permitting and project execution.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate design intent and constructability.
• Perform design calculations for grading, drainage, and foundation systems.
• Incorporate environmental and regulatory requirements into design documents.
• Assist with cost estimates, material take-offs, and construction support as needed.
• Review and update drawings to maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance with company and industry standards.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting/Design, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• 5 years of experience in civil design, preferably in industrial, heavy manufacturing, or recycling environments.
• Strong background in foundations, grading, and storm water system design.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal permitting requirements for storm water and site development.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing for metal recycling, heavy industrial, or manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of structural and mechanical systems to support facility design.
• Familiarity with construction methods, cost estimating, and field coordination.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
