Veterinary Receptionist

Advanced Veterinary Care - Silver City, NM

POSTED ON 8/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/6/2026

Advanced Veterinary Care is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, exceptionally responsible, and positive individual to be our veterinary receptionist. We provide high-end veterinary care at an affordable price. Our patients always come first.

Advanced Veterinary Care provides an optimistic environment for clients and team members alike. We strongly believe in and provide a positive work-life balance. While the veterinary industry as a whole is in a physical and mental health crisis, we pride ourselves on paying employees competitive wages, not requiring work outside of normal set hours, and providing a positive work environment that harbors professional growth and happiness.

Our 3,800 sq foot building is state-of-the-art, clean and bright, and was built brand new in 2017. Aside from normal veterinary services, we offer advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries (by the owner/veterinarian, who will not be providing general practice care) and a diagnostic CT (CAT scan) machine.

An unpaid lunch break is provided, with some variation due to patient load, daily from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm.

The veterinary receptionist plays an extremely important role in the overall success of a veterinary practice. He or she is the first voice clients hear, the first person they meet, and do almost all of the non-medical communication. We want a receptionist who learns to know the clients and patients by name and makes them feel welcome. The receptionist sets the pace for the daily flow of appointments, and effective and kind communication with the back staff is a must. This position will be monitored and mentored by our office manager who has over 10 years of experience in the medical field, and 7 years of experience in our office.

Experience in customer service is required.

Benefits such as retirement plan matching, life insurance, and paid time off are available after a minimum employment period.
