What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist - Payroll position at Advanced Utility Solutions Inc?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of this role are processing of various financial functions including all functions of payroll, union reporting and some general accounting tasks. Duties will also include new hire onboarding, personnel recordkeeping and filing. This position will be expanded upon as required and you may be asked to cross train in areas for coverage purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpretation of daily timesheets into payable/billable hours for payroll and billing purposes, this will require maintaining working knowledge of all union labor requirements and client agreements
- Weekly preparation of payroll
- Employee Onboarding
- Maintenance of payroll and new hire records
- Union Reporting
- Maintain miscellaneous logs and other items as appropriate
- Scanning, filing and performing general administration duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High level of Microsoft Excel and general computing skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience with labor unions, ADP payroll and/or Quickbooks is a plus
- Detail oriented and able to demonstrate high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and willingness to perform in a team environment
Location: Hybrid Remote/Office – Central Suffolk County, NY
Hours: Full time
Compensation: Based on experience
Monday through Friday 7am - 4pm
Salary : $47,600 - $63,900
