In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will operate advanced ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing and managing general and cardiovascular conditions. Duties
- Operate medical imaging equipment to perform ultrasound examinations, including general and cardiovascular, and diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging session.
- Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during invasive or sensitive procedures.
- Analyze and optimize image quality by adjusting equipment settings based on physiology knowledge and specific diagnostic requirements.
- Document detailed patient information, imaging findings, and procedural notes accurately within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and ensure precise diagnostics.
- Maintain all medical imaging equipment through routine checks and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging principles relevant to ultrasound procedures.
- Proficiency operating ultrasound machines and other related medical imaging equipment with precision.
- Familiarity with PACS systems for storing, retrieving, and sharing diagnostic images efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain procedures to patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive procedures or examinations requiring sterile conditions.
