We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient exams, obtain vital signs, prepare patients for treatment, perform basic laboratory tasks, and maintain accurate medical records. Additionally, this position involves coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and primary care environments.

Primary Job Function:
· Performs medical assistant assessment and evaluation under Advanced Urgent Care & Wellness clinic’s established medical and nursing protocols and orders
· Administers primary medical assistant services: intravenous therapy and intramuscular injections using the prescribed formula and an array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants
· Efficiently draw and process a variety of labs for patients (PCR, Serum, Urine,etc)
· Uses electronic medical record to document client visit and therapies received
· Assist medical provider in evaluation, documentation, and treatment of the patient
· Exhibits use of therapeutic communication, exceptional customer service, professionalism, timeliness, efficiency and teamwork in all aspects of work
· Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and learning sessions
· Actively participate in quality improvement processes while being open to the ongoing changes in medical care and make suggestions for improvements
· Foster a team environment to effectively lead and retain staff while providing opportunities for staff to grow and develop new skills
· Take appropriate corrective actions to address matters pertaining to employee health and safety that have been brought to their attention
· Keep all protected health information (PHI) confidential and abide by HIPAA guidelines for the release and disclosure of any PHI
Required Skills:
· Medical assistant and radiology experience in the state of North Carolina
· Two years of experience as a MA in an acute care setting (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, OR,Urgent Care), or similar practice as Advanced Urgent Care & Wellness
· One-year experience administering injections required
· Previous IV Therapy Specialty experience preferred
· Must be a team player – teamwork makes the dream work, sense of humor a plus
· 1 year of experience working within an integrative medicine clinic preferred
· CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days and kept current at all times
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task effectively
· Previous experience with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and working in an EHR environment is desired
