What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Electronics Technician II position at Advanced Ultrasound Systems?
Overview: The primary role of this person is to perform technical testing and component level repair of electronic circuit boards, display monitors, power supplies, and other electronic and mechanical parts for diagnostic ultrasound systems. Ensure test results are documented and recorded and assures compliance with AUS’s Quality systems. Able to work with minimum supervision.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ultrasound components of all types, down to the component level.
- Test ultrasound systems using documentation provided by the manufacturer (OEM) where possible.
- Perform work on ultrasound components to high standards of quality and reliability.
- Document work performed to meet ISO 13485 standards as well as AUS standards and policies. Enter records into database according to standard procedures.
- Continually seek to document and improve processes and workflow.
- Observe ESD precautions and help assure the preservation of products at all times.
- Assure personal safety and protect the health and safety of others while performing job duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Vocational training in electronics or equivalent trade related experience.
- An equivalent combination of 3 years of education and/or experience in testing, repairing, and reworking electronic assemblies, preferably in parts used in diagnostic imaging systems.
- Ability to read schematics and expertise in analog and digital circuitry.
- Demonstrated ability at soldering to perform replacement of both thru-hole and surface mount components.
- Good troubleshooting techniques. Soldering techniques experience is a plus.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, and familiarization with Microsoft Office products and database systems.
- Ability to react quickly and adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances, and direction.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
