Position Summary
Advanced Health Alliance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our interdisciplinary team in a Day Treatment Program serving individuals with complex behavioral, emotional, and/or psychiatric needs. The NP will provide high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric and medical care, contributing to comprehensive treatment planning and stabilization in a structured, therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and/or medical assessments, including history-taking, mental status exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Prescribe and manage medications, monitor side effects, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Provide education to clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and nurses to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in daily team meetings, clinical reviews, and program development initiatives.
- Ensure appropriate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Monitor and address medical issues as needed, referring to specialists or emergency care when necessary.
- Support transitions of care and coordinate with external providers and community resources.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in MA.
- National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with relevant behavioral health experience
- DEA license with Schedule II-V prescribing authority (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1β2 years of experience in a psychiatric, mental health, or day treatment setting
Preferred:
- Experience with adolescents, adults, or specific populations served by the program
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based psychiatric practices
- Bilingual abilities are a plus

Work Environment & Schedule
- Flexible scheduling available between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, based on program needs and provider availability.
- Hybrid work model: combination of on-site care and remote telehealth services as appropriate.
- Based in a structured outpatient day treatment facility
- May involve some walking between program units or locations
