Position Overview
We're seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or a student awaiting certification to join our team
You'll provide individualized Music Therapy sessions designed to improve social, emotional, cognitive, and physical functioning in clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct one-on-one Music Therapy sessions tailored to each client's needs and goals.
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, and service reviews (every 3, 6, and 9 months, with annual reassessments).
- Document sessions and progress notes through our secure online system.
- Use the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) framework for standardized documentation.
- Collaborate with caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to align goals with each client's Individual Plan of Service (IPOS).
- Adapt sessions for home, community, or hub-based settings.
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid and waiver program guidelines.
Qualifications
- Required: Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or exam-eligible graduate.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy.
- Experience: New graduates welcome Training and support provided.
- Must pass a background check and hold a valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation and compassionate, team-oriented mindset required.
- Proof of CPR/First Aid certification may be requested depending on county.
