Position Summary:
The Electronics Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic wildlife tracking devices and related equipment. This role ensures products meet company quality standards by performing functional testing, diagnosing component-level issues, and documenting results. The Electronics Technician collaborates with engineering and production teams to support new product development, improve manufacturing processes, and maintain efficient production while delivering reliable products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, assembly, testing and checkout of transmitters, receivers, and other devices.
- Assist engineers in building, testing and evaluating prototypes.
- Monitor quality throughout the shift by inspecting each part before and after it is produced for proper dimensions, debris and any additional specifications.
- Count, sort and stack finished pieces and dispose of waste material.
- Follow company procedures and directives.
- Maintain the tools used to create products and support a clean and well-maintained workspace.
- Ensuring all tasks and procedures are done in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Manufacture wildlife tracking collars to desired specifications.
Qualifications:
- Two years of technical training with certification.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently, and in a team-environment.
- Must be able to work with visual magnifiers such as microscopes, video magnifiers, etc.
- Must be able to work with oscilloscopes, frequency generators, and other electronic test equipment
- Must be able to work from blueprints and drawings.
- Possess good hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able and available to work overtime as needed to meet production schedule.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
