SUMMARY:
This role supports manufacturing of engineered metal products through maintenance and continuous improvement of the documentation control portion of the Quality Management System. This includes ISO 9001 and NQA-1 (ASME). Facilitates deployment of relevant scheduled activities. Assures distribution of Quality Documents used in product realization and maintains records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate the error free distribution of controlled documents, maintain accurate records of distribution, update controlled documents and maintain accurate records of updates (Quality System documents, travelers, and related items).
- Develop and drive improvements to our documentation control process to streamline and eliminate waste.
- Support manufacturing functions by satisfying on demand requests for documentation and records.
- Support submittals of records to customers as required by project requirements. This often entails interfacing directly with a customer representative and their associated systems.
- Throughout project life, review and submit documents to internal systems and manage records storage facility.
- Issue, maintain, and control of company drawings and client-supplied drawings assuring that current revisions are available.
- Assemble turn-over (QVD) record packages.
- Review job files for completeness and accuracy prior to customer submittal or filing. Notify appropriate personnel of any discrepancies and assist with the correction of those discrepancies.
- Provide data entry support, as needed (Calibration Certificates, metrics, etc.).
- Assist in data analysis of performance metrics including collection, charting, and postings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to assist in mentorship of other document control personnel.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred 2 years of document management or document control experience at Document Control Specialist I or equivalent.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required. An AS or BS are preferred, or College level courses or technical training in business/office disciplines.
- A proficient knowledge of computers, databases, and office skills is required.
- A knowledge/background of Quality Systems (e.g., ISO9001) and systems audits is preferred.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Ability to learn with strong desire to improve on systems and processes.
- Strong ability Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel and Access or Database software
- Good organizational skills, seeing the big picture, prioritization and time management.
- General office skills: filing, phone skills, using office machines, etc.
- Ability to read and discern technical and regulatory documents to the degree that work instructions and procedures can be developed from them.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and regulatory instructions and translate them into applicable work instructions and procedures for use by ATG employees.

PAY RANGE:
$20.00 to $30.00 per hour
BENEFITS:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits starting your first day of employment. 120 hours PTO and 8 Paid Holidays. Eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan after 90 days of employment.
