Our client is a global supplier of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and has an immediate opening for a Field Service Engineer in Hillsboro, OR. This is a customer-facing role supporting the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex semiconductor tools at customer sites. Job Description:
- Install, set up, and commission semiconductor equipment using SOPs and service manuals
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including replacement of defective parts
- Troubleshoot basic electro-mechanical hardware, software, and user-related issues
- Collect equipment logs, perform basic analysis, and document issues in service systems
- Maintain accurate service records, including equipment status and parts usage
- Support customers directly or escalate issues to Senior Engineers as appropriate
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 - 3 years of semiconductor industry experience. Bachelor’s degree not required
- Hands-on experience or strong aptitude for equipment installation, maintenance, or field service work
- Ability to follow technical documentation and create clear service reports
- Comfortable working independently at customer sites in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to support on-call rotations and occasional short-term travel
- This position is primarily field-based and aligned to customer schedules. Standard hours are typically Monday–Friday, with flexibility required for customer support needs and on-call coverage.
Pay: $73,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
