Education: Eng Degree w (1) Turbine, (2) Failure Anal or Root cause experience 2 yrs.
Must have BS degree in Engineering (A degree in Technology is not acceptable)
Hard Requirements:(REQUIRED)
· At least 2 years’ experience in gas turbine engineer support
o Know what they are, how they function
· Lifecycle engineering skills: root cause analysis, technical writing, OR failure investigations
o Tech manual writing, how to look for information
· Need to be able to learn a lot very quickly to be successful in this role
Preferred Skills/Experience (_NOT required)_
· Controls experience is very helpful, but material/mechanics side is more important
· Understanding of data analysis – look at recorded data and infer operations within that data set
Key Accountabilities: Eng Degree w (1) Turbine, (2) Failure Anal or Root cause experience 2 yrs.
- Analyze potential safety issues (SAR & RT)
- Provide technical support to help resolve technical queries and operational arisings
- Investigate operational issues to establish root cause
- Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions
- Set reliability targets based on historical data and monitor performance against targets.
- Predict future safety and reliability performance based on failure rates, adopting statistical techniques to support Numerial Risk Assessment, Parametric Distribution and fly forward analysis.
- Provide lifecycle technical data (build/in-service/decommissioning) and model/support
- Prepare and deliver technical communications
-Ensure technical solutions meet agreed requirements
-Analyze product service deterioration, gathering insights from maintenance and repair facilities
