Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-reliability soldering, circuit board assembly, and electrical sub-assemblies for aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform soldering in accordance with IPC-J-STD standards on printed circuit boards (PCBs), printed wire boards (PWBs), and circuit card assemblies for both through-hole and surface-mount applications.
• Assemble chassis and final units using circuit cards, wire harnesses, soldering/crimping tools, and precision instruments.
• Execute high-reliability soldering and crimping on complex sub-assemblies, including board-level repairs and jumper wire installations.
• Work with multi-pin connectors and assemblies that meet stringent government and customer specifications.
• Interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and electronic work instructions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and maintain certification standards for high-reliability soldering.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot, rework, and improve testing and assembly procedures.
• Maintain documentation and cleanliness in accordance with traceability and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent formal training.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly and soldering.
• Proficiency in crimping, medical or aerospace device assembly, board-level repair, and electronic unit assembly.
• Working knowledge of J-STD, IPC 610/620 standards, and use of torque and crimping tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• NASA 8739 soldering certification.
• Experience with avionics components, including circuit card rework, coating, and installation.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
