Position: Full-time salaried exempt position located at Pohakuloa Training Area in Hilo, Hawaii.
Job Description:
Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems. Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems. Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution. Trains users, maintains, creates, and deletes user accounts. Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms. Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards. Enforces network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN; JNTC; MCS;JTEN
Steady-state Training Support:
During steady state training, support Soldiers in planning the training exercise in the TMT software, coordinating and aligning training equipment and RVCT modules to prepare for the exercise. Initializing and troubleshooting the local RVCT training network with the RVCT modules to ensure connectivity.
*In Execution, provide Over the Shoulder training directly to Soldiers as needed and any exercise control functions such as roleplay or intelligence reports to support training.
In the Assessment Phase:
*Provide an After-Action Review for Soldiers to execute, and a take home package of any lessons learned during the training.
Point of Need Training:
*provide the following services for the RVCT modules and associated equipment: Prep for shipment, Transportation, set up of equipment, Initializing and troubleshooting's at the Point of Need location, over the shoulder execution support.

Surge Support:
Shift personnel from other locations to support training that outweighs a current sites personnel requirement. Exercise could be up to 28 modules of RVCT or two companies. This will be for a limited time to support training at that site.
Additional Responsibilities:
*Monitors and manages ACAS, HBSS, and D-GSA system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain the STE Device systems operating efficiency.
*Sets up administrator accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system wide software and allocates mass storage space.
*Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
*Installs and maintains all program software and hardware installs.
*Provides patches and security compliance for installed applications and operating systems.
*Performs STE Device hardware installs and configuration; COTS SW installs; security patching; hardware maintenance; and user accounts.
*Maintains all Active Directory actions such as account creation, auditing, profile configuration, security permissions, file structure and organization, and exchange configuration.
Travel:
*Travel may be required up to 30% of time to include OCONUS
Degree(s)/Years of Experience:
( BS 5-7 Years) (MS 3-5 Years) (PhD 0-2 Years).
Certification(s):
8570 DoD Certification
Desired Experience:
