We are looking for:
Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Video Editor/Producer to join our high-performing team on a project-to-project (ad hoc) basis. The Video Editor/Producer delivers high-quality creative content for our clients, and edits creative elements, including streaming content, digital, and social assets. The Video Editor/Producer leads the edit team throughout the planning, execution, and delivery of creative assets, as well as acts as liaise with creative and production teams regarding creative assets and delivery. This role requires a high-degree of creative discretion, independent decision-making, and original content development across multiple platforms.
This role works variable hours and shifts based on project needs. The work commitment can vary from 1-5 days per week.
This role will work on-site from our client's office in Midtown, Manhattan.
- Ideate, script and produce attention-grabbing promotional campaigns and elements from brief to final delivery
- Edit fast-paced, thumb-stopping trailers and promos (15s–2min), following brand and creative guidelines
- Create platform-native versions optimized for Prime Video, Fire TV, TikTok, Reels, Stories, YouTube, and paid media
- Edit motion graphics, lower-thirds, product animations, and basic graphic design packages in After Effects
- Make autonomous decisions regarding edit structure, shot selection, music, sound design, graphics, and overall storytelling style.
- Collaborate directly with marketing, content, programming, and ops teams to hit aggressive air dates
- Manage multiple projects in parallel while maintaining pixel-perfect quality and brand consistency
- Evaluate and refine content for quality, creative integrity, and brand alignment without waiting for step-by-step instructions.
- 6 years of professional video editing & producing experience (trailer/promo house, network, agency, or major digital brand strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to independently conceptualize, edit, and produce original creative work at a professional, broadcast/digital standard.
- Adobe After Effects skills for motion graphics, typography, and VFX
- Solid graphic design sense (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) – you can edit existing static key art when needed
- Exceptional storytelling instincts and the ability to write concise, punchy, high-energy promotional copy
- Experience editing both longform content (30 minutes) and short-form promotional materials
- Strong narrative editing skills and ability to maintain viewer engagement across longer formats
- Proven ability to work at the speed of social while delivering broadcast-quality masters
- Expert understanding of aspect ratios, safe zones, and specs across Prime Video, Fire TV, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and CTV
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience cutting shoppable or direct-response content
- Mastery of DaVinci Resolve
- Previous work on FAST channels, AVOD, or live streaming promos
- Familiarity with Frame.io, or remote post-production workflows
- Passion for lifestyle, home, fashion, beauty, or celebrity content
- High level of customer service acumen, supporting our client in their projects
Compensation:
This project-based role offers an hourly pay rate of $60-80/hour depending on experience.
