Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Legal Assistant/Paralegal needed for a busy law firm in Beaumont. Family law experience is a plus. At least three (3) years of experience doing legal assistance or paralegal work is required. Looking for someone who is organized, has a strong work ethic, self-motivated and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Job responsibilities include assisting with management of trial docket, filing documents and file maintenance and organization, maintaining calendars, deadlines and appointments, assistance in drafting pleadings and discovery, client communication, assistance with trial and hearing preparation, organizing, and coordinating case documents, requesting, and organizing medical records, and other litigation support. Must have good people skills as this job entails a lot of client contact, must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment and must be able to work independently and take direction. Must have computer skills and be proficient with basic office software (Word, Excel, etc.).   Professional business attire and demeanor are required for this position. This is a temp-to-possible-hire position with a starting pay rate of $19.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE). Full-time and part-time schedules are available. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
