Duties
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting vital signs, medical history, and current medications to prepare for procedures or recovery
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during recovery periods, documenting changes accurately in electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Support medication administration and basic life support procedures as directed by medical staff to ensure patient safety
- Prepare treatment areas and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, ICD coding for diagnoses, and medical records management
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to address concerns and provide updates on recovery status
