We’re seeking an organized, hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee all materials, inventory, and logistics operations for our solar installation teams. This role ensures that every project has the right supplies and that the process runs efficiently and on time — supporting the success of field operations and the company’s commitment to quality.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of Advanced Solar’s warehouse, including inventory control, material handling, shipping and receiving, and coordination with installation crews. Working closely with the Installation Manager, this role ensures that equipment, tools, and materials are properly stocked, tracked, and distributed to support smooth and efficient solar installations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Materials Management
- Oversee all warehouse inventory, including solar panels, racking, inverters, electrical components, tools, and safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce systems for efficient material tracking, labeling, and organization.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or delays.
- Ensure materials are received, inspected, and stored in accordance with company standards and manufacturer requirements.
Logistics & Project Support
- Coordinate daily material deliveries to job sites in collaboration with the Installation Manager and project teams.
- Prepare and stage materials and equipment for residential and commercial installations.
- Manage warehouse scheduling to align with project timelines and field crew needs.
- Optimize storage and layout for maximum efficiency and safe workflow.
- Maintain clear communication with installers, electricians, and project managers regarding material availability and delivery status.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
Team Management & Leadership
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, including drivers and material handlers.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance, ensuring accountability and teamwork.
- Support professional growth and create a positive, safety-first warehouse culture.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and warehouse systems.
Equipment & Fleet Oversight
- Maintain warehouse tools, forklifts, and vehicles in safe working condition.
- Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Track tool and equipment checkouts to ensure accountability across teams.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in construction, electrical, or solar industries.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and logistics systems.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for material handling.
- Forklift certification (preferred or must be obtained upon hire).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
