What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fingerprint Technician / Receptionist / HR Assistant / Office Admin position at Advanced Security Solutions Inc.?
This position is responsible for providing administrative and professional support to the Human Resources (HR) Department and supporting the organization as a Receptionist, Fingerprint Technician and Office Admin (located in Des Plaines, IL). Requires high level of confidentiality, judgment, excellent customer service, enthusiasm, and professionalism at all times.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to
- Capture fingerprints using electronic fingerprinting equipment
- Verify the identity of individuals through proper identification procedures
- Maintain accurate records of fingerprinting and related information

- Ensure confidentiality and security of all fingerprint data
- Provide excellent customer service to individuals during the fingerprinting process
- Assist with administrative tasks related to fingerprinting services
- Answer all incoming calls, transfers by filtering calls and taking messages.
- Assist all visitors in the lobby, including greeting door and all who approach / enter the building.
- Assist in mail, packages, and all parcel related duties.
- Organize, clean, and maintain all duties / paperwork in main lobby, print / stock all copies / documents.
- Responsible for recruitment process on all platforms (e.g. really, craigslist, Facebook, etc.).
- Screen’s applicants, makes recommendations for hire, and new employee orientation ID’s, etc.
- Organize, clean, and maintain all duties / paperwork in training room classroom, stock all copies.
- Prepare new hire packets, paperwork, and all other on-boarding efforts in addition to off-boarding.
- Assist new hire, employee changes, and termination process.
- Sourcing candidates utilizing various methods (i.e., networking, referrals, online searches, internet postings, job/career fairs, local colleges, user / technical groups, etc.).
- Develop and maintain active applicant pool of qualified candidates for future openings.
- Prepare qualified candidates to interview with hiring managers by providing detailed information on the job descriptions and company / site performance expectations.
- Create and maintain employee files and ensure that all necessary paperwork is filed in a timely manner, including regulatory/compliance paperwork, PERC compliance, training, employee updates.
- Assist with the administration of benefit programs including medical, dental, life and unemployment.
- Collects / assists in orders and maintains inventory uniforms (New, Issued and/or Returned).
- Restock uniforms, maintain, organize, and complete all uniform duties.
- Adhere to basic HR Policies and Procedures while responding knowledgeably to questions.
- Other general office duties as needed and assignments by Manager or Director.
- Must learn basic information on products and services that company offers.
- Respond to employees and management in a timely manner.
- Administrative duties and record keeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish)
- Must be a high school graduate (GED accepted) and provide us with a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts.
- Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation (including drug screen), demonstrating a stable work history and/or education.
- Must disclose all criminal convictions and pending charges.
- Must be a cooperative team player with good oral and written communication skills.
- Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you.
- Must have a valid PERC or be able to obtain.
- HR Recruiting experience is extremely helpful. Teamwork and HR collaboration is expected. Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, punctual (attendance is very important) will be required to work outside of shift hours on occasion depending on workforce needs.
- Great customer service orientation at all times is required. Attention to detail; listens carefully. Employs tact, courtesy and confidentiality at all times.
