Key Responsibilities

• Perform roofing duties associated with hot applied systems
• Perform roofing duties associated with torch applied systems
• Perform roofing duties associated with cold process systems
• Perform roofing duties associated with the layout pattern of the insulation
• Perform roofing duties associated with installing felt paper
• Perform roofing duties associated with operating roofing equipment
• Layout a roof to incorporate needed slope and drainage
• Lays out insulation for maximum use of material and best performance
• Counts materials on site and keeps usage information to ensure proper coverages
• Communicates material usage to foreman along with remaining inventories
• Installs membranes per industry and manufacturer specifications
• Supervises apprentices and coaches each to become more proficient
• Consults with foreman on project specific specifications
• Probes and initials detail work
• Complete all detail and finish work
• Fields install basic sheet metal flashings and trim

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience required
• Knowledge with gas and diesel engines and repairs
• Experience with welding and use of cutting torches
• Experience with troubleshooting running gears and electric systems

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Currently 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required
• Successful Pre-employment Drug and Agility tests.
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall.
• Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Successful Background Check.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug tests
• Demonstrate the desire to learn the commercial roofing trade
• Ability to take direct commands
• Demonstrate effective communications skills
• Have completed basic academic skills: ability to read and write
• Demonstrate good motor skills
• Commit to and practice good attendance
• Practice and follow industry safety standards
• Need to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions
• Have a sound mind

• Full time onsite
• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
