Job Title: PRN Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Clinical Trial Sub-Investigator
Location: Portland, OR
Job Type: PRN (As Needed)

We are currently seeking a qualified Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as a Sub-Investigator on a PRN basis for ongoing and upcoming clinical trials in Portland, Oregon. This is a flexible, as-needed role—ideal for a licensed PA or NP looking to gain experience in clinical research while maintaining work-life balance. We are wanting someone who can help out as needed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Job Description Summary: The Sub-Investigator is a member of the clinical trial team who assists the Principal Investigator (PI) in conducting the study. They will be expected to conduct physicals for our patients enrolled in our clinical trials. They may be involved in medical evaluations, reviewing patient histories, reviewing EKG's and lab results, and ensuring participant safety.

CRC Responsibilities:

- Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document physical exams on clinical trial participants
  • Review and assess lab results, ECGs, and medical histories
  • Provide medical oversight in accordance with study protocols and GCP guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and clinical research team to ensure high standards of care and protocol compliance
  • Maintain accurate and complete source documentation

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of Oregon
  • Current DEA registration (not required, but nice to have)
  • Ability to work PRN with flexible scheduling (preferably Mon-Wednesdays)
  • Strong attention to detail and professional integrity
  • No prior clinical research experience required—training provided

Preferred (but not required):

  • Previous experience in clinical settings such as internal medicine, family practice, or urgent care
  • Previous experience as a Sub-Investigator
  • Interest in clinical research and willingness to grow into the Sub-Investigator role

Training: On the job training.

Experience Requirements: Clinical research experience is preferred, but not required. We can provide training for all job responsibilities.

Education Requirements: Certified PA or NP license.

Job Type: PRN. Very flexible, plus no weekends or Holidays.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
