Advanced Recovery Group is seeking a highly experienced and detail oriented Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our growing legal department. This is a high level position for a candidate with substantial experience handling civil litigation and commercial debt collection matters from pre-suit through post-judgment enforcement.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience preparing summary judgments, high-level motions, complex litigation filings, and supporting attorneys through all stages of litigation. This role requires someone capable of independently managing high-volume litigation matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, organization, and deadline management.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation and commercial debt collection matters from pre-suit through post-judgment enforcement
- Draft, prepare, review, and organize high-level legal filings and litigation documents including:
- Summary Judgment Motions
- Attorney Affirmations
- Affidavits
- Orders to Show Cause
- Motions to Dismiss
- Motions to Vacate
- Default Judgment Packages
- Summons & Complaints
- Stipulations
- Subpoenas
- Information Subpoenas
- Restraining Notices
- Executions
- Garnishment-Related Filings
- Post-Judgment Enforcement Documents
- Domestication Filings
- Exhibits and Supporting Documentation
- Coordinate filings through NYSCEF e-filing systems
- Review contracts, guarantees, funding agreements, payment histories, and supporting documentation for litigation purposes
- Organize and compile evidence and exhibits for motion practice and court proceedings
- Track litigation deadlines, motion schedules, court appearances, and compliance requirements
- Assist attorneys with litigation strategy, hearing preparation, and case management
- Handle post-judgment enforcement efforts including bank restraints, executions, garnishments, domestications, and recovery research
- Conduct corporate and legal research including Secretary of State searches, UCC filings, and asset investigations
- Maintain accurate litigation tracking, file management, and detailed case notes
- Train and assist junior legal staff and paralegals when necessary
- Ensure all litigation files remain organized, compliant, and audit-ready
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience required
- Strong experience preparing summary judgments and high-level motion practice required
- Extensive civil litigation experience required
- Commercial debt collection experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of New York civil procedure, litigation timelines, and motion practice
- Experience handling high-volume litigation files and strict deadlines
- Exceptional drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to independently manage litigation matters with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, litigation software, and e-filing systems required

Compensation & Benefits
