We are looking for a Director of Financial Operations to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications.


Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and efficiency of the Department’s financial and human resources operations. The Director of Financial Operations will lead and support the all financial operations, with collaboration with the analytical and finance teams; including budgets, GL, revenue cycle and billing functions, A/R, payables, authorizations, purchasing system, treasury services, internal controls, payroll and compensation; manage physician payroll, tax filings, human resources and uphold adherence to all local and federal compliance requirements.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, analytical, and collaborative professional who brings both precision and leadership to complex financial environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to train and guide teams, and the drive to enhance scalability and automation across processes.

The Director of Financial Operations will ensure the highest fiscal performance while strategically partnering with leaders to drive optimization and meeting financial commitments.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all aspects of the finance, human resources and revenue cycle departments in coordination with the Company’s analytical and finance teams.
  • Ensure financial operations comply with all contractual agreements and federal regulations, including IRS other relevant policies.
  • Review and approve departmental account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations for physician compensation arrangements and other key financial activities.
  • Propose and implement enhanced internal controls and process improvements to strengthen the Department’s financial integrity and efficiency.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and policy guidance to divisional finance staff to raise overall skill levels and ensure consistent compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Division Directors and department leaders to communicate policies, share insights, and promote best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing data-driven recommendations and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
  • Serve as retirement plan fiduciary.
  • Oversight of all payroll and human resource activities.
  • Lead, develop, and support a small but growing team, encouraging professional growth and fostering operational excellence.
  • Serve as main contact for outside accounting firm.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Serve as lead financial representative of the Company.
  • Ensure highest level of detail and accuracy of all functions of the Department.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with significant experience in healthcare.
  • Registered Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial management, or operations, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial processes and ensure compliance with local and national regulatory standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical reasoning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and a collaborative approach to leadership.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Skills in Planning, Organizing and Supervision
  • Experience in the preparation of Financial Statements and Review.
  • Ability to work proactively and effectively with others.
  • Ability to work independently and research issues, as necessary.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and timely.
