Responsibilities
- Monitor school premises through CCTV surveillance and regular patrols to prevent unauthorized access and identify potential security threats.
- Enforce school policies and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, utilizing first aid and CPR skills when necessary.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, de-escalating disputes and ensuring safety for all parties involved.
- Conduct loss prevention activities by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism.
- Assist with visitor check-in procedures, issue visitor badges, and maintain security logs for documentation purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention.
- Participate in regular training sessions on security procedures, surveillance technology, and emergency response protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience or background in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields is preferred.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or related emergency response training are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in monitoring activities within the school environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to cover school shifts.
- Must pass background checks consistent with school district policies.
