We’re seeking an experienced business development leader to help APS expand its market presence, win strategic new contracts, build customer relationships, and lead growth across key verticals.

  • Define the business development and sales strategy aligned with APS’s strengths and target markets (semiconductor, solar, oil & gas, other advanced manufacturing).
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities — both large-scale projects and recurring services.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing BD / sales / account management team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, project management, and marketing to ensure bids, proposals, and projects are competitive and deliverable.
  • Develop pricing, contracting, commercial models, and proposals.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities; provide market intelligence to guide corporate strategy.
  • Track and report KPIs (pipeline, win rate, revenue growth, margin, customer retention) to the executive team and board.

You will operate as a key member of APS’s senior leadership team, contributing to long-term strategy, investments, and growth planning.

    • Oversee the sales funnel, forecast, and manage conversion metrics
  • Client & Partner Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with C-level / VP-level decision makers
    • Represent APS at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and with key partners
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Hire, mentor, and scale the business development / sales team
    • Establish processes, tools, and performance standards
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Align with engineering, operations, finance, legal, marketing, and delivery teams
    • Ensure proposals are technically sound, cost-effective, and deliverable

  • Deep technical understanding of automation systems, fabrication, industrial services, or process engineering.
  • Experience leading and scaling a sales/BD team.
  • Strong network and relationships in target verticals (semiconductor, solar, oil & gas, advanced manufacturing).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
