Advanced Powerplant Solutions (APS) is a leading independent ROTAX Service Center supporting aircraft owners, flight schools, and OEM partners across the U.S. We’re hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on ROTAX-powered aircraft (especially 912/914, with growth in 915iS/916iS). - Perform routine maintenance and inspections on ROTAX aircraft engines (912/914 primarily; exposure to 915iS/916iS as you grow)
- Troubleshoot engine performance issues using manufacturer guidance and APS best practices
- Complete service work orders and document maintenance clearly and accurately (FAA/manufacturer standards)
- Use service bulletins, manuals, and checklists to ensure compliance and quality
- Coordinate with the parts team to ensure correct components are pulled/ordered for each job
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized hangar workspace and follow tool control practices
- Communicate professionally with internal team members and occasionally support customer technical questions
Required Qualifications
- 1 years of hands-on aviation or engine maintenance experience (aircraft, LSA, experimental, powerplant, or similar)
- At least FAA Light Sport Repairman - Maintenance Certification
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, service bulletins, and written procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and safety-first mindset
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a hangar environment (lifting, standing, tools, etc.)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- iRMT ROTAX certification (Service or Maintenance strongly preferred)
- FAA A&P or IA certification
- Experience with ROTAX 912ULS / 914 maintenance and inspections
- Familiarity with troubleshooting ignition, carburetion, cooling, and oil systems
- Experience supporting fleet operators (flight schools/clubs) or high-throughput shops

Schedule
- Monday–Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)
- Overtime available during peak season (optional/as needed)
