What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Operator II - MPI position at Advanced Powder Products?
General Summary:
Level two position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The operator responsibilities include operation, setup, and maintenance of MPI equipment in the secondaries area. The operator will also be expected to complete assigned activities necessary to the production of the manufactured product.

- Perform specialized technical work efficiently with confidence and competence.
- Above average attention to details and be concerned for correctness of work.
- Complete tasks on time at a faster-than-average pace.
- Able to obtain a certification of completion of MPI Level I/Level II Training.
- Able to complete and log hands-on certification hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist engineering with process development and documentation in area of production
- Perform preventative maintenance as required
- Operate equipment as required including program changes, maximize output and quality
- Advise on better means to complete the functions within the job and continually improve the operation
- Maintain safe, clean and well-organized work environment
- Complete appropriate data entry as directed, prepare shift summaries as requested
- Monitor tooling and supplies and take action to keep required materials in stock
- Complete assigned tasks on time and to required specification(s)
- Handle material as directed to ensure an uninterrupted flow of work
- Perform additional duties within the broad scope of the job
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, and 3 years manufacturing experience
- Hands on manufacturing experience with strong mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Orderly and responsible with tools and work area
- Effective written & verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Able to lift 35 lbs.
- Able to pass a visual acuity test.
- Must be safety conscious and present self in clean, well-kept manner.
