Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Front Office Medical Assistant/Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive medical office experience, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of healthcare management systems. This role involves managing front desk activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the overall efficiency of the practice for this location.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily front office operations, including patient scheduling, registration, and check-in/check-out procedures using patient management software such as EMR/EHR system.
- Understand billing processes, medical records management, and coding accuracy to facilitate smooth revenue cycle management.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA policies, and state/federal health regulation policies.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize patient flow, appointment scheduling, and patient communication strategies.
- Monitor clinic inventory levels and manage procurement of office supplies while maintaining fiscal responsibility through budgeting and financial management practices.
Experience
- Proven medical office experience with a strong background in healthcare practice management and office administration.
- Supervising experience within a healthcare setting is essential for effective team leadership.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is required; experience with other software like Microsoft Office is also necessary.
- Knowledge of medical billing, coding (including CPT/ICD codes), medical records management, and health regulation policies is critical.
- Prior experience managing teams in a healthcare environment with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Acute care or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with managed care and utilization management practices is preferred.
- Strong managerial communication skills combined with expertise in fiscal management, budgeting, and compliance ensure operational success.
