Accounting Support Specialist Zebulon, NC Job Type Full-time Description Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Support Specialist to assist with day-to-day financial and administrative tasks. This role focuses on bookkeeping, data entry, payables and receivables, vendor communication, and supporting the preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports. Responsibilities: Perform general ledger account reconciliations, verify the accuracy of data, and identify or correct errors from internal or external sources Monitor customer accounts receivable balances regularly to ensure accounts are current Post customer payments, including checks and ACH transactions Enter Accounts Payable invoice transactions and prepare the check run process Investigate and resolve billing issues, such as short payments, overpayments, or credit memos Assist in month-end and year-end closing and financial reviews Prepare special financial reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends Support the development and implementation of accounting procedures, recommending changes as needed Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and work independently Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Solid analytical thinking, creative and resourceful problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Willing and able to work in a dynamic and changing team environment Qualifications: Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial support Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient with spreadsheets and basic accounting software What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience.
