Advanced Pharmaceutical Consultants provide pharmacy services including pharmacists, technicians, and automation to behavioral health hospitals nationwide. The is a Per Diem position as needed to cover open shifts
Duties:
- Order entry/verification ensuring appropriate pharmaceutical care is administered to patients of the hospital.
- Correctly preparing/labeling of all drugs and chemicals
- Provide clinical, operational, administrative, inventory, staffing and financial management of hospital pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance with standards of The Joint Commission, CMS and other regulatory bodies, including state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Automated dispensing machine experience preferred.
- Data order entry/verification proficient.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication skills with physicians and nursing staff.
- Pro-active, problem-solving individual that will work as a team, ability to work independently and meet financial, regulatory, and clinical goals as directed by management.
- Must be oriented and knowledgeable in the specialized functions of a psychiatric pharmacy.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. RPh or PharmD required.
- Experience: Must have 1year of hospital pharmacy experience as well as pharmacy management experience.
- License/Certification: Currently licensed as a Pharmacist in South Carolina.
- Physical Requirements: Moderate to low physical demands.
