Asphalt Laborer

Advanced Paving Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Laborer to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual with experience working on an asphalt paving crew. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical, hands-on work, communicates well with crew members, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform general labor duties on asphalt paving projects
• Assist with asphalt placement, spreading, raking, and finishing
• Shovel and rake hot-mix asphalt as needed to ensure proper placement
• Assist paving equipment operators and other crew members throughout daily operations
• Prepare jobsites before paving operations begin
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting tools, materials, and equipment
• Perform handwork around curbs, edges, joints, and other areas as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Properly use and care for hand tools and construction equipment
• Assist with additional asphalt, concrete, and general site work when needed
• Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous asphalt paving experience REQUIRED
• Valid driver’s license REQUIRED
• Knowledge of asphalt paving operations and jobsite procedures
• Experience with asphalt and concrete work
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shoveling, raking, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Dependable and reliable attendance
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic
