Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Grader Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a motor grader to perform finish grading, establish proper elevations and slopes, maintain haul roads, and prepare subgrade and base materials for paving and other civil construction projects. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a motor grader on commercial, subdivision, roadway, and civil construction projects.
- Perform rough and finish grading to the required elevations, slopes, and specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently during all operations.
- Grade and maintain subgrade, aggregate base, roadways, shoulders, ditches, and haul roads.
- Collaborate with team members to execute precise construction grading aligned with project specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and site progress reports.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA standards, to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as motor graders, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction setting.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting construction equipment.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Skilled in construction site experience with grading.
- Valid commercial driving license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
- Knowledge of construction grading techniques, heavy equipment operation, and maintenance protocols.
