We are looking for an experienced Assistant Parking Manager to lead our friendly, professional valet team at a busy upscale, brand hotel location in the Anaheim, CA area.
Assistant Parking Manager Job Summary: The Assistant Parking Manager supports the Site Manager in the day-to-day duties and responsibilities required to efficiently and professionally operate the parking location. In addition, they are responsible for team member training and relations as well as enforcing all guidelines set forth in the APS Team Member Handbook.
Position responsibilities include:
- Maintain traffic and pedestrian control on front drive
- Assign and direct work
- Post up on the driveway
- Examine vehicles upon arrival for any possible damage when valet runners are not immediately available
- Ensure all valet runners close windows and lock doors
- Ensure key audits and garage audits are conducted daily
- Enforce oversize vehicle policies and procedures
- Document absences, tardies, and communications regarding employee performance
- Perform service recovery
- Prepare payroll and accounting reports
- Prepare weekly schedules and communicate to staff appropriately
- Ensure proper onboarding working with the APS Hiring Manager
- Cultivate a work friendly environment
- Fully understand APS policies and procedures / Refer to APS Employee Handbook
- Ensure team members meet APS Guest Customer Service and Safety standards
- Understand the roles and duties of all other positions at your site
- Seek shift coverage for out calls
- Claim management & Team member injury management
- Report and document all possible site hazards and/or issues to the property operations team
- Be aware of your working environment. Periodically observe your area for potentially dangerous individuals or obstacles and report suspicious activity
- Perform and delegate Crossing Guard duties—if applicable to the location
- See something, say something (report all non-life-threatening emergencies to Security and follow up with Area Manager)
Requirements:
- 2 years of prior parking experience
- 2 years of prior management experience preferred
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Experience building a schedule is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask
- Dependable and able to work overtime when needed
- Some proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid CA Driver’s License
Job Type: Full-time or part-time (24-40 hours per week)
Starting Pay: $23.50 per hour | Includes opportunities to advance within the Company!
