Position Summary
Advanced Paper Converting is seeking a dependable and motivated Production Helper to support our manufacturing team. This position plays a vital role in assisting Machine Operators with the safe and efficient operation of converting equipment while ensuring high-quality production standards are maintained. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Machine Operators with loading paper rolls onto back stands.
- Hang, splice, and thread paper rolls as needed during production.
- Select paper rolls based on weight and production requirements.
- Set wrappers for proper ream thickness and make adjustments to ensure accurate folding and package sealing.
- Change conveyor belts and adjust belt speeds to optimize production.
- Assist with clearing machine jams and resetting accumulators.
- Fill glue pots and verify proper glue stripe application using the glue timer screen.
- Operate package labelers, replenish labels as needed, and keep labeling equipment clean and functioning properly.
- Shred stub rolls and maintain proper labels from inventory for current and upcoming production orders.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
