Advanced Outpatient Surgery Center of Oklahoma, a newly remodeled, state of the art, ambulatory surgery center, is recruiting Registered Nurse to work variable, part-time, and possibly full time in the areas of Pre-OP, Operating Room Circulating / Discharge/ PACU and our Pain Management Room. Specializing in Orthopedics, Spine, Plastics/ Cosmetics, and Pain Management. Cardiac or Cathlab also a plus. We currently have PRN positions available. Experience Circulating in the operating room would be highly recommended. There are no night, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care of surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Circulating operative nurses provide care across the continuum, beginning when the patient is first told of the need for a surgical or invasive procedure, and ending when the patient returns to his or her usual activities. The peri-operative nurse’s focus of concern is the patient and his or her family members, significant others, and friends. The flexibility of peri-operative nurse to work in the Admit/ Pre-Op/ PACU, Discharge and Pain Management in the Ambulatory setting is a key component in providing a quality continuum of care for the patients.
Essential Functions:
*Computer skills, familiar with EMR systems a plus.
* Utilizes the nursing process in caring for assigned patients. Completes assessment and individualizes plan of care within established guidelines.
* Organizes, prioritizes, and performs nursing skills appropriate for the patient population.
* Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing patient/unit situations.
*Must have valid unrestricted Oklahoma RN license.
Minimum Experience (yrs):3
* 2yrs Operating Room Circulator experience recommended.
