What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgery Scheduler position at Advanced Orthopedics & Pain Management?
As a Surgery Scheduler you will be responsible for scheduling the surgery with the patient and the facility. Setting up pre-op testing, medical clearances, etc. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Bilingual preferred. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Responsibilities
- Schedule surgeries with the patient and facility
- Schedule Pre-op clearances and post op appointments
- Acquire approval for procedures when needed
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
- Proficient in Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Must have reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
