What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Representative/ Medical Receptionist position at Advanced Orthopedics New England?
Full time position. Typical work week Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. One Saturday per month in Vernon office on rotating schedule 8:30am-1:30pm. Schedule will define any variances. Position may require travel to satellite locations as needed.
Primary locations for this position: Bloomfield, Vernon, Springfield and Enfield, CT
Must be service-oriented with a desire to please and assist others. Empathetic with a calm and reassuring manner. An effective communicator when dealing with diverse personalities. A reliable, organized self-starter who can deal easily with changing priorities. Enjoys working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, vendors and guests in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner- represent AONE at all times. Be a role model for other Staff.
- Be responsive to patient requests and concerns.
- Overall responsibility is to be an active employee and front desk team member that works to attend to patients that are in the office for care or calling the office for care
- Patient Check In: Collect all appropriate paperwork, verify and enter in to EHR (Electronic Health Record)
- Prepare patient record for transition to the Provider.
- Patient Check out: Schedule any testing and follow up appointments as ordered by the Provider.
- Electronic Health Record (Athena) input of all information must be clear, professional and accurate
- Complete referral paperwork as appropriate for patient
- Workers Comp authorizations for additional follow ups
- Schedule appointments for patients in accordance with Office/Provider Policy
- Answer phones, work through Task completion
- Scan, faxing
- All forms and methods of communication must be professional, adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and be in keeping with Group and Office Policy
- Provide quality customer service

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
