We are seeking a bright, energetic, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team in Prince Frederick, MD. Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implant placements, biopsies, and related treatments
- Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms before and after consultations and procedures
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to office and OSHA standards
- Educate patients on post-operative instructions and care
- Record patient medical history, vital information, and assist during consultations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Support team members in delivering exceptional patient care
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience and/or completion of a dental assisting program
- Oral surgery experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Radiology certification preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude, dependable, and team-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
