Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide patient care in various settings including nursing homes, group homes, and memory care facilities.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ conditions or behaviors to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Support individuals with disabilities and autism by implementing personalized care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and long-term care practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties.
